Edgewood Middle School

Home of the Rams

The Language Arts Department at Edgewood Middle focuses on fostering student proficiency in the areas of reading and analyzing literary and non-fiction text, writing, speaking and listening, as well as appropriate use of language.  All instruction is designed with strict adherence to the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards (MCCRS) along with skillful integration of instructional technology when appropriate. As a department, we strive to support and enhance the literacy development of all our students in an ongoing effort to adequately equip them to make a positive impact on our school community and the world at large.
